Would like to know if MapPoint will do the job or do have to go with something bigger and more expensive and which other software would you recommend.

Vlado, MapPoint is not meant for logistics bridge heights, hazmat, etc are not collected data You could make custom app with avoided areas in MapPoint or try PCMiler, maybe Would anyone care to share their experience with MapPoint for trucking companies.
